Darlene Joy Sohl passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021, in the San Juan De Dios Hospital in Santa Ana, El Salvador.

A celebration of life service will be Friday, Oct. 15, at the Demco Community Center in Boyden, Iowa, with family visiting at 1:30 p.m. and a memorial service beginning at 2:30 p.m.

Dar Rozeboom was born April 2, 1952, to Dick and Esther Rozeboom of Hull. She attended Hull Christian Elementary School and Western Christian High School.

On April 28, 1972, she married Harold Sohl. They made their home between Boyden and Hull. They were married over 40 years. She raised a garden and sold produce at the farmers’ market, helped raise rabbits and chickens and started her own craft business. She was a professional florist and owner/operator of Siouxland Floral in Hull many years. After she and Harold divorced, she moved to Santa Ana in 2014 and traveled between there and northwest Iowa.

Survivors include her husband, Harold; her partner, Victor Manuel Esquivel of Santa Ana; her children, Loren Sohl, Laura (James) Sohl-Cryer and Terry (Loni) Sohl; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her siblings, Waneta Van Tilburg, Linda Marcus and Rick Rozeboom, and numerous other family and friends.
