Mrs. Hanneman Dies At Daughter’s House

Mrs. Hanneman of Oshkosh, Wis., passed away Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. H. Jensen. She had been ill for some time. The Jensen family left at once for Oshkosh where funeral services were held this week. They will be back quite likely the latter part of the week.

OBITUARY

Mrs. Amelia Hanneman, 75, died Saturday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. H. Jensen, following an illness of two weeks.

Mrs. Hanneman was born at Belgrade, Germany on Feb. 22, 1865, and came to America some 57 years ago. She made her home here since Jan. 1, 1940. Surviving are Mrs. H. H. Jensen of Sioux Center and 2 daughters of Oshkosh, Wis.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 3:30 from the home. The Rev. Mr. Hugo Beyer officiated. The body was shipped Sunday to the Conrad Funeral Home, Oshkosh, Wis. where funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 5, 1940. Burial was in the Winnebago County cemetery, Oshkosh, Wis.

FORMER RESIDENT OF OSHKOSH PASSES AWAY

Mrs. Emily Hanneman, a former resident of Oshkosh, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. H. Jensen, at Sioux Center, IA Saturday.

"She was born in Pommerania, Germany, Feb. 22, 1865, and came here with her parents in 1880. She was married to William Hanneman, Dec. 4, 1883. Her husband died in 1925.

"Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Alvina Jensen, Sioux Center, Ia.; Mrs. Olga Stadheim, Hollandale, Mich.; and Mrs. Anna Blashe and Mrs. Louis Koch, Oshkosh; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

"Funeral services will be held at the Arthur Blashe home, 32 Lake street, Tuesday afternoon at 1:45 o'clock and at 1 o'clock at Trinity Lutheran church with the Rev. J. E. Elbert officiating. Interment will be in the Winneconne cemetery. Friends may call at the Blashe residence this evening at 7:30 o'clock and until the time of the services. The casket will not be opened in church."

Hanneman; born Feb. 22, 1865 in Belgrade, Germany; father August Laske, mother’s name unknown; resident of Sioux Center 2 months 1 day; usual residence 159 Harney St., Oshkosh, Wis.; died at 10:50 a.m. March 2, 1940; cause, influenza, duration 2 weeks; other conditions, arterial sclerosis.

Her FindaGrave.com page has Amelia Leske Hanneman, born 22 Feb 1865, died 2 March 1940 in Sioux Center, Iowa, buried in Winneconne Village Cemetery, Winneconne, Winnebago County, Wisconsin. Spouse Carl Friedrich Wilhelm David Hanneman (1852-1925. married 1883).
