From the Sioux County Capital, March 28, 1940:

Former Resident Dies

Mrs. C. E. Kluvers died at her home in Litchville, N.D., last Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Kluvers were former residents here. The Kluvers, Mrs. L. Scholten and the late Mr. Scholten were in childhood all residents of a certain orphans home in The Netherlands and both couples came to Orange City where they remained close friends. Mr. Kluvers followed the carpenters trade here, and they lived in a house where the C. Hospers home now stands.
