Marie Fedders, age 96 of Sioux Center, IA died December 9, 2021, at Crown Pointe Care Center in Sioux Center, IA.

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Monday, December 13th at Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center, with burial following at Memory Garden Cemetery in Sioux Center. the service will be livestreamed @ Bethel CRC on Livestream.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 12th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, with the family present at Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center.

Memorials may be directed to Bethel Christian Reformed Church and/or Talking Bibles.

Marie Fedders was born March 9, 1925, near Lebanon, Iowa, the daughter of Gerrit and Cornelia (Magre) Engeltjes. She was raised in the Ireton, Iowa and Sioux Center, Iowa area and attended several country schools.

Marie was joined in marriage to Gerrit Fedders in Ireton. The couple made their home on the Fedders family farm, where they raised their family and worked hand in hand until retiring from farming in 1993. They moved to Sioux Center in 1994 and have lived at Crown Pointe since 2013. Marie was a devoted wife and was thankful for a wonderful 69 years of marriage. Marie was a member of the Ireton Christian Reformed Church and the Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center and was active with many church activities. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and spending time with family and friends.

On February 20, 2014, Marie’s husband, Gerrit passed away. She remained living at Crown Pointe and was able to live independently until October of 2021, when she moved into Royal Meadows. Marie passed away this past Thursday, December 9, 2021, at the age of 96 years and 9 months.

She is survived by her two children: son, Gary (Erna) Fedders of Sioux Center, IA and their children, Ronald (Marg) Fedders and their family: Eric (Candra), Kristen, Alyssa (Kyle) and Ryan (Brooke); Daniel (Deb) Fedders and their family: Caitlynn, Jayden (Colyn) and Brianna; Patricia (Steve) Sandbulte and their family, Ethan and Ava: Son, David (Joyce) Fedders of Sheldon, IA and their children: Lyle (Melanie) Fedders and their family, Lauren, Mackenzie and Natalie; Jared (Amanda) Fedders and their family, Ross and Cole; a brother, Andy (Betty) Engeltjes: and sister-in-law, Betty Engeltjes: and many nieces, nephews and other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerrit Fedders; four brothers, Lewis (Gert) Engeltjes, Henry (Wilma) Engeltjes, Bernie Engeltjes and an infant brother; five sisters, Bertha (Dick) Franken, Grace (Tony) Van Roekel, Hattie (Fred) Vollink, Fannie (Fred) Van Dieren and Nell (Bill) Meyer.
