Mrs. J.O. Kemmel of Grant Township near Sheldon, passed away at her home on September 24th, at the age of 56 years. She leaves her husband, four brothers and three sisters, besides her aged mother to mourn their loss. The funeral was held from the Church of the Brethren near her home on Monday afternoon with Elder J.E. Ralston officiating, and burial took place in the family lot beside her dead son near Waterloo. For many years she has been prominent in Sunday school and church work and many are the sincere friends who will miss her presence.
