John U. Dykstra died July 4 at the home of his daughter Mrs. John Bruins, at the age of 76 years. Funeral services were held Saturday at the home and Central Ref. Church. Rev. Haverkamp and Rev. Ypma officiating. Mr. Dykstra is survived by four children. Will of Orange City, Richard of Rock Valley, Mrs. Jake Vander Schaaf and Mrs. John Bruins of Sioux Center. Mrs. Dykstra died in 1912. Mr. Dykstra was born in the Netherlands and for many years lived in Sioux County, retiring from farm life some years ago. His family have the sympathy of many friends.
