Last Week died in the hospital in Hull, Steve Loekus. He had a brain tumor. Leokus was not immediately aware of it; he was one of the Greeks who worked on the section. The funeral took place Friday from the Central Ref. church and there was considerable interest. Rarely or never before have we had a crew of such sturdy young men in the section. They respect everyone with whom they come into contact and are very neat and careful. It is a flaw of us Dutch that we do not want to hang out with friends. It a therefore surprisingly difficult for a crew to feel at home among the Dutch.
It appears that some of our citizens have made a favorable exception in the case of Leokas, elsewhere we post a note of thanks from his friends.

Hulstein and the others who joined us so faithfully in this sad occasion. The willingness of goodwill will also become a mountain of good.
