Translated:
At Long Beach CA died suddenly at the age of 78. Mr. W. H. Siemen. He was born in Germany and came to America in about 1880. The family first lived in Illinois and soon moved to Sioux County, Mr. Siemen lived west of Sioux Center and owned Section 11 he reclaimed from the prairie. Later he oversaw the elevator and lumberyard. Because of his wife's health, suffering from asthma, the family moved to Minnesota, then moved to Miller, S.D. and later to California.
The deceased is mourned by the 76-year-old widow, and six children George of here, Fred at Miller, SD, Henry at Long Beach, Albert at Appleton MN, Lucinda Schroeder at Honeyford, ND., Edward, Florida.
The funeral will be at Miller, S. D.

Children listed were - Lucinda 1874-1933, William Henry 1875, Fred 1877-1960, Albert 1879-1959, Edward 1884-1958, Lewis 1888-1016 and Lillian 1892-1982.
