YOUNG LAD PASSES ON

John Alfred Aalberts, the 10 year old son of Reverend and Mrs. Gradus Aalberts of Leighton, Iowa passed away Thursday at 8:20 o’clock in the morning at the home of his parents in the Reformed Church parsonage. The young lad suffered from a brain tumor for the past year and underwent two operations.

John Alfred was born on July 8, 1940 at Harlem, Michigan. He was an affectionate and an exemplary child and will be greatly missed by his parents, his sisters Myrna, 9, and Margaret, 3. Also by his grandmothers, Mrs. Minnie Aalberts of Orange City and Mrs. Fanny Beltman of Leighton.

Funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon at Leighton Reformed Church.
