Mr. Adrian Van Der Linden, age 61, of Hull, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at the Sanford University of South Dakota Medical Center in Sioux Falls.
There will be a funeral service on Saturday, September 8, at 10:30 a.m., at the American Reformed Church in Hull. The Rev. Steven Bierly will officiate. Interment will follow at the Hope Cemetery in Hull.
Adrian was born on April 28, 1951, in Hull, the son of Leendert and Johanna (De Groot) Van Der Linden. He was raised at Hull, where he was baptized in the Christian Reformed Church and attended school.
He worked on various farms in the area and was employed at Joe’s Ready Mix in Sioux Center. For 21 years, he was in the shipping department of Kooima Manufacturing in Rock Valley. At the age of 47, he was disabled. In recent years, he was a familiar sight at The Station in Hull.
On June 28, 1996, he married Pamela Sue Blumeyer in Hull. She passed away on July 6, 2011, in Sioux Falls.
Mr. Van Der Linden was a member of the American Reformed Church. He enjoyed boating, camping, motorcycling, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include eight children, Tanya, and her husband, Scott Reed, of Flandreau, South Dakota; Tammy, and her husband, Eric Top, of Hartford, South Dakota; Chad Van Der Linden, and his wife, Sherry, of Montevideo, Minnesota; Adrian Lee Van Der Linden, of Bayport, Minnesota; Cristi, and her husband, Randy Starling, of Bellevue, Nebraska; Helen Coleman, of Wilmar, Minnesota; Cindy Steele, of Valley City, North Dakota, and her fiance, Jason Wall; and Jason Reimers, and his wife, Wendy, of Hull; twenty grandchildren, Chet, Chase, and Tanner Reed; Emma, Madison, and Curtis Froke; Trevor and Justin Starling; Erin, Cassidy, A. J., Shelby, T. J., and Reese Van Der Linden; Dakotah, Shayla, and Dylan Steele; and Hunter, Kayla, and Kalea Reimers; a brother, Al Van Der Linden, of Worthington, Minnesota; and numerous nephews and nieces.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. Source: Oolman Funeral Home, Hull, IA.,obit.
