Lewis Van Ginkel, 61, of Hull died Monday, Jan. 5, at his residence after a long illness. Services were Friday in the First Christian Reformed Church in Hull. The Rev. William Renkema officiated. Burial was in Hope Cemetery.
Mr. Van Ginkel was born Jan. 23, 1925 at Hull. On Aug. 3, 1949, he married Evelyn Soodsma at Hull. They lived at Edgerton, Minn., for a short time and then made their home in Hull. He was employed by Kooiker Manufacturing in Hull for 27 years and then by Roorda Machine Shop in Rock Valley for seven years. Mr. Van Ginkel was a member of First Christian Reformed Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Larry of Hull; three daughters, Mrs. Stanley (Valerie) Leusink of Hull, Mrs. Mark (Marilee) Dykstra of Hospers, and Mrs. Lyle (Karen) Lems of Doon; his mother, Anna Van Ginkel of Hull; a brother, Peter of Rowland Heights, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Harvey (Nell) Brunsting of Hull and Mrs. Frank (Martha) Ver Hey of Sioux Falls, S.D. and 11 grandchildren.
