Dies From Diabetes

Rudolph Ludwig of Alcester, who was a patient at the Hawarden hospital for about a week, passed away Monday evening from diabetes. He was unaware that he was suffering from this dreaded disease until he came to Hawarden for treatment and owing to the advanced stage and his weakened condition he could hold out but little resistance. Funeral services are being held at the Ludwig home southwest of Alcester at 2 o'clock this afternoon and the German Lutheran church near there at 2:30. Mr. Ludwig was 48 years of age and was single.
