Mrs. Florence Van Briesen was born March 11, 1913 at rural Ashton, La., the daughter of
Albertus and Flora (Krull) Kruger. She lived her youth in the Ashton and George, Ia. area.
She married Fred Van Briesen on Sept. 3, 1935, and they lived at Edna. George, Ocheyedan, Sanborn, and Boyden. Fred passed away in 1967. She worked at the 0 & J Egg Products for many years. She passed away at her home in Boyden on Aug. 10, 1987 at the age of 74 years, four months, and 30 days.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Verdel of Mitchell, S.O.; Curtis of Sioux
Center, Ia.; six grandchildren; one brother, Peter A.G. Kruger of George, Ia.; three sisters: Mrs. Vera Hassebroek and Miss Margaret Kruger, both of George, Ia.; and Mrs. Tillie Boomgaarden of Adrian, Minn.
She was prededed in death by her parents; her husband; two sons; two brothers; and two sisters.
