JENNIE VANDER WELL
Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Vandcr Well, 89, of Rock Valley were held Tuesday afternoon 1-00 p.m. at the home and 1: p m at the First Reformed church of Rock Valley. Rev. Henry Poppen officiated. Burial was in the Boyden cemetery with Vander Ploeg's Funeral Home In charge.

Mrs Vander Well died Saturday October 8, at the Sioux Center Community hospital, where she had been a patient for about two years. Mrs. Vandcr Well was born October 30, 1870, at Zaandom, Netherlands.

Her husband preceded her in death in 1941 at Rock Valley. She is survived by three sons, Steve and Waller of Rock Valley and Herman of LeMars, one daughter. Kate (Mrs. Frank De Haas), of Orange City, two brothers, Jake De Vries of Primghar and William De Vries of Nanton, Alba, Canada, a sister, Mrs. John Hilton, of Boyden, nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She came to America with her parents and family in 1888
and has made her home in the Boyden and Rock Valley area
since that time.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Anna, in 1918,
and her husband Walter in 1941.
