Everdina (Dena) Veldman, 79, of Rock Valley, formerly of Inwood, died April 6,1991 at Valley Manor Nursing Home, Rock Valley. Everdina Grootenhuis was born June 22,1911, in Wyhe, Netherlands. She married Willem Veldman, June 22,1935, in Zwolle, Netherlands. They came to the United States in the Inwood area Dec. 29,1949, where they fanned.

Her husband died March 21,1974. She moved to Inwood, then to Rock VaHey in 1981, and later to the Valley Manor Nursing Home in Feb., 1988. Survivors include two sons: Gerrit, Hull, Iowa; Anton, DCS Moines; one daughter: Mrs. Jim (Hermina) Van Den Top, Rock Valley; one sister: Jansje, Netherlands; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First Christian Reformed Church in Rock Valley, with burial in Richland Cemetery, Inwood. Visitation was held at the Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley.
