Donna L. Boll - Age 63

Donna Louise Boll was born on May 17, 1949 in Harlan, Iowa to Melvin and Edna (Kiesel) Boll. She was baptized at the United Church of Christ in Minden, Iowa. She attended grade school and high school in Walnut, Iowa and graduated with the Class of 1968.

Donna worked at Beaudines Lamp Shade Factory in Atlantic and later at the Super 8 Motel in Walnut. She was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Walnut.

She lived on the family farm south of Walnut then moved to Harlan in December of 2011 where she retired.

She enjoyed being with her family and friends; all the farm life: birds, flowers, playing cards, working on puzzles and especially anything involving Elvis. She also did embroidering, counted cross stitching, plastic canvas needle work and crocheting. Christmas was her most loved and favorite holiday where she very much enjoyed decorating her two trees.

Donna died unexpectedly at her home in Harlan on Friday, August 24, 2012 having attained the age of sixty three years, three months and seven days. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Richard and her "little boy" her great nephew, Derek Ellerbeck.

She is survived by her sister Jan and her husband Gene Wilwerding of Harlan, Iowa and brother Milton Boll and his wife Dianne of Walnut, Iowa; nieces and nephews: Michelle Ellerbeck and her fiancé John Harryman of Grimes, Iowa, Mark Wilwerding and his wife Kiran of Dickinson, Texas, Tim Boll and his wife Stacey of Clive, Iowa and Brenda and her husband Kevin Shannon of Des Moines, Iowa; great nieces and nephews: Jenna Ellerbeck, Kendra Shannon and Sean Wilwerding; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services were conducted by Pastor Donna Ewert at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Avoca, Iowa. The song "Blessings" was played at the beginning of the service. Deb Rosenow and Kathy Schumacher sang "Jesus Will Still Be There", "My Redeemer", and "Remember Me" during the service and Pastor Donna sang "May the Grace of Christ Our Savior" and "Come Let Us Worship and Bow Down" at the interment in the Shelby Cemetery in Shelby, Iowa with Michelle Ellerbeck, Brenda Shannon, Stacey Boll, Kiran Wilwerding, Jenna Ellerbeck, Sean Wilwerding and Kendra Shannon serving as honorary casket bearers and Tim Boll, Mark Wilwerding, Kevin Shannon, Darrell Kiesel, Rod Rosenow, Neil Ciechomski and Gary Wiechmann serving as casket bearers.
