Survived by: Son, Duane Straight of Harlan, IA; brother, Jess Fencl of Council Bluffs, IA; 3 step-children; other relatives and friends

Predeceased by: Parents, Frank and Matilda (nee Zelenka) Fencl; second husband, William A. Hogen (deceased March 16, 1981); brothers, George Fencl and Louis Fencl; sisters, Lena Lang and Elsie Paul

Employment: waitress for various Harlan restaurants, including the Holiday Buffet, Red’s Cafe, White Star, and the 59’er. Retired in 1989.

Hobbies/Interests: Alma was a Lutheran. She loved music; she played the violin and accordion. She also enjoyed making dolls.
