Hobbies/Interests: Member, Presbyterian Church, Shelby, IA; later, a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ, Harlan, IA; member, Helmer Reyelt American Legion Post #150. Enjoyed volunteer work and was active at the Harlan Senior Center where he delivered meals and washed dishes. Also liked spending time doing woodcrafts and woodworking.
