Education: graduated from Harlan (IA) High School, Class of 1943; Received her Associate of Arts degree from Ottumwa Heights College for Women in Ottumwa, IA, Class of 1945; Received her her PhB degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI, Class of 1949; Received her Master of Social Work degree from Loyola University, Chicago, IL, Class of 1957.

Marriage: Warren Tremlett Chaffey, April 27, 1960, Beale Air Force Base, CA.

Employment: Employed as a social worker in IA, IL, VA, CA, Guam, and Washington, DC. With her spouse, they returned to Harlan in June 1973, and Patricia remained active in her profession

Hobbies/Interests: Member, St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Harlan, IA; member, American Association of University Women (AAUW); member, Myrtue Memorial Hospital Auxiliary; member, Shelby County Democrats; member, Air Force Sergeant Association Auxiliary. Had previously served as president of the Shelby County Historical Society. She enjoyed playing bridge, camping, and traveling with the Shelby Co. Commander’s Club.
