Education: attended Goldenrod District #57 school, near David City, NE; graduated from David City (NE) High School, Class of 1929; attended 1 year of college at Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, NE.

Marriage: Margaret and Joseph Albert Semrad eloped on June 19, 1935, in Auburn, NE; they stepped forward at a cousin’s wedding and were married.

Employment: For a few years, Margaret taught school at Goldenrod (NE) and several other places. After the war, she and Joseph moved to Harlan, IA; she became a homemaker, and did babysitting for friends. Margaret relocated to David City, NE, in 1999.

Hobbies/Interests: former member, First Baptist Church, Harlan, IA, where she had taught Sunday School. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, and playing cards.
