Survived by: Sons, Clinton (spouse, Jean) Hulsebus of Kimberling City, MO, Keith (spouse, Cindy) Hulsebus of Harlan, IA, and James (spouse, Pearl) Hulsebus of Rochester, MN; brother, Merlin Philson of Hamilton, MT; 9 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends

Predeceased by: Parents, James Harold and Cecil L. (nee Sunderland) Philson; husband, John T. Hulsebus (deceased Jan. 18, 1995, Omaha, NE); brother, James Philson; infant sister; grandsons, Kelly Hulsebus and Scott Hulsebus

Education: Harlan, IA. School; graduated from Harlan High School, Class of 1932

Marriage: John Theodore Hulsebus, Oct. 20, 1934, Decorah, IA.

Employment: taught country school in Jackson and Center Townships until marriage; taught under an emergency war teaching certificate from 1943 - 1945. Retired to their home on Big Stone Lake in Ortonville, MN in 1973, until 1979.

Hobbies/Interests: Life-long member of First United Methodist Church, Harlan, IA; member since 1933, Zenobia Rebekah Lodge #286; on July 17, 1986, she received the Lodge’s highest honor, “Decoration of Chivalry.” She enjoyed bird-watching (and feeding), sports, and gardening.
