A Memorial Mass for Thomas M. Sharpe, 53, of Davenport, formerly of West Des Moines, is 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Davenport.

Visitation is Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Thomas passed away Saturday, December 17, 2011 at his home.

The rite of cremation was accorded.

Thomas Matthew Sharpe was born on October 21, 1958 in West Des Moines, Iowa, to William L. and Carole J. (Wiese) Sharpe.

He was united in marriage to Marie Frandsen on September 1, 2011.

Thomas had worked as a locomotive engineer at HARSCO Metals.

Memorials may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation of Iowa or a favorite children's charity.

He is survived by his wife, Marie of Davenport; his son, William C. Sharpe, San Antonio, TX ; a brother, Tim Sharpe (Linda Gibbs), West Des Moines; two sisters, Jill Greer and Julie (Otto) Nobis, all of Davenport.

His parents preceded him in death.
