Hi,
I think we have corresponded before. I still haven't been able to find out who Benjamin's father and mother are. However, I have possibly found him and his daughter living in a "poor house" in Libertytownship (which is right next to Jefferson Township. The 1850 lists him and an Ida Miller (she would be the same age as his daughter Ida)living at a residence with abt. 19 others. He is listed as "idiotic". He died in 1892 so this would make sense.His wife is still living in Jefferson township and Ida isn't living with her. The census has them both(Benjamin and Sarah) as "married'. After talking to Betty Ruby, who is also trying to solve the mistery, we are almost possitive he is our man. I have called the Recorders Office in Diagonal. They inform me that they can not do the research and send their findings, however, anyone can go in person and look for records of the "poor house" there in Liberty Township and make copies.

If you are able that would be great. My plan was to wait on Betty to get aride, since she doesn't drive. You have two others who are wanting to look ant any records on Benjamin Miller and she if we can't find out who he was born to.
