OBITUARY ~ RANDALL ALAN "RANDY" PRATT
January 15, 1960 ~ February 20, 2014

Randall (Randy) Alan Pratt was born January 15, 1960 in Mount Ayr, IA to Robert Larry and Karen Kay Watson Pratt. He was later joined by his two brothers Rick Allan and Robert Allen. Randy went home to the Lord on February 20, 2014 in Tempe, AZ.

During his elementary school years Randy enjoyed playing baseball in youth leagues with his brother Rick. During middle school and high school he participated and lettered in both wrestling and soccer. Randy graduated from high school in West Milford, NJ in 1978 and went on to receive an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electronics from Tyler Junior College in Tyler, TX in 1980. His first employment was with Brown and Root as an Electrical Design Draftsman in Houston, TX. It was in Houston that Randy met and married Kimberly (Kim) Ann Buckley October 17, 1981. While there, son Jason Randall was born. After relocating to Baltimore, MD, daughter Jennifer Ann was also welcomed into the family.

In 1988 Randy and his family moved to Chandler, AZ. where he enjoyed working as a Job Shop Consultant in the Electrical Design and Drafting field. He was an accomplished electrical designer and draftsman with several varied companies including Knight Advanced Technology, Bechtel Engineering, Black & Veatch Advanced Technology Group, Day & Zimmerman Microelectronics, SDC Engineering and Intel Corporation. Over the course of his career he received many commendations and awards for his outstanding work ethic and dedication in assuring the assigned projects were completed on time and as designed. Randy loved working with his hands and was a very accomplished do-it-yourself handyman who could repair automobiles, trucks and bicycles, as well as complete in-home carpentry and electrical projects.

In his spare time Randy loved playing in adult soccer leagues and coaching youth soccer with his son Jason. He was an avid sports fan and loved playing golf with his Dad, brother, uncles and cousins. Randy was a passionate college and professional football fan, and in particular his favorite team was the Green Bay Packers. He also cheered on and attended games for the Arizona Cardinals.

Randy was preceded in death by his brother Robert, his paternal grandparents (Glenn and Dorothy Pratt) his maternal grandparents (E. M. and Alberta Watson), his uncle Tom Greene and his aunt and uncle Bill and Ann Warin.

Left to cherish his memory are son Jason Pratt (fiancé Jamie) and granddaughter Dylann Marie all of Gilbert, AZ; daughter Jennifer Pratt (significant other Andrew Haywood) of Phoenix, AZ; parents Larry and Kay Pratt of Sun Lakes, AZ; brother Rick Pratt (Claire) nieces Emily Pratt and Allison Babb, nephew Bryan Babb of La Vista, NE; and ex-wife Kim Pratt of Chandler, AZ. Also surviving are aunts and uncles Marvin and Kay Pratt of Sun Lakes, AZ ; Charlene Greene of Mount Ayr, IA; Jack and Dixie Taylor of Diagonal, IA; Jay and Donna Watson of Mount Ayr, IA; Steve and Carolyn Watson of Tempe, AZ; Mark Watson and Ken Hickman of Des Moines, IA; and many special cousins and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Valley of the Sun Mortuary, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Rd, Chandler, AZ. Graveside services and inurnment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 19 at the Diagonal Cemetery in Diagonal, Iowa. Online condolences may be left at www.watsonarmstrongfh.com.
