OBITUARY ~ BLANCHE KILLINGSWORTH

Miss Blanche KILLINGSWORTH, 76, daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. D. H. KILLINGSWORTH, died Monday at the Fairbury Lynch Clinic at Fairbury, Nebr., according to telephone message to Mrs. George (Lois) OWEN, a cousin of Miss KILLINGSWORTH.

The relatives have known for several months of the serious illness of Miss KILLINGSWORTH and the probability that she would be unable to recover. She had lived at Fairbury since leaving Clarinda in 1944.

Miss KILLINGSWORTH was born at Mount Ayr July 8, 1886, the family moving to Clarinda in 1898. She was educated in Clarinda Schools, was graduated in 1910 from Wesley Memorial Hospital for Nurses at Chicago. She spent her entire life in the nursing profession, at Clarinda and Fairbury.

She was a gold star sister, a member of the American Legion auxiliary and member of the Clarinda United Presbyterian Church until she left Clarinda in 1944.

Her nearest relative is a niece, Mrs. Abbott (Lorraine) MASON at Whittier, Calif., also several cousins.

Her nearest friend and companion for recent years is Mrs. Edna McKEE of Fairbury, Nebr.

Burial will be this Thursday at Fairbury, none of the local relatives able to attend.
