OBITUARY - C. JAMES McCORMICK

C. James McCORMICK of Canon City died of natural causes in Salida [CO] August 15, 1992, at the age of 89. He was born Jan. 15, 1903, in Mount Ayr, Iowa, to Samuel James and Dove (PITTMAN) McCORMICK.

Mr. McCORMICK had lived in Canon City since 1929. He was the owner of McCORMICK's Auto for many years. He also served for one year in the Armed Forces.

He was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church, past exalted ruler of the Canon City BPOE 610, a former member of the city council, the Board of Adjustments and Canon City volunteer firemen.

Mr. McCORMICK was married in 1929 in Canon City to Willa ROUFF, who survives. Also surviving are two children: ; sisters-in-law: Ruth McCORMICK, Holly; Margaret SHOUP, Canon City; and a nephew.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, August 19, 11 a.m. at the Christ Episcopal Church with Father Joe JOHNS and Father Don HICKMAN officiating. Services conclude at the church.
