OBITUARY - MRS. MARGARET P. LISHER

Mrs. Margaret P. LISHER, 92, Tompkins Memorial Health Center [Fort Dodge, Iowa], died at the center Wednesday afternoon. Services will be at 8:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, with the Rev. William P. CUNNINGHAM, rector, officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery, Davenport. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Sunday at Bruce Funeral Home.

Survivors include two nieces; son-in-law; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Margaret PENICK was born in Tingley, Iowa. She graduated first in her class with a bachelor of arts degree in home economics from Iowa State College [now Iowa State University]. In 1916 she married Paul LISHER. They lived in Red Oak and Omaha, Neb. before moving to Fort Dodge in the mid-1930s. She worked as a home economist. She was active at St. Mark's church, where she taught Sunday school. She lived in her own home until 1980 when she entered the health center.

She was a member of Phi Beta Phi sorority, a PEO chapter, and the Art Club. She was active in leadership of the Girl Scouts. Mr. LISHER died in 1969.

NOTE: Margaret was the daughter of William and Katherine (WADDELL) PENICK.
