Resolutions of Respect
Whereas the Great Commander has in His wisdom seem fit to call from our ranks Comrade John BEATTY causing us to remember that Death is rapidly depleting the ranks of the Grand Army, it is with the deepest sympathy that we, the members of Ed Otis Post, No. 290, Grand Army of the Republic, offer the following resolutions.

Be it resolved That in the death of Comrade BEATTY this Post and the community have lost a patriotic and useful citizen, one who ever stood for a high type of citizenship, patriotic and thoroly American.

Be it further resolved That we extend to the bereaved family our sincerest sympathy in this dark hour of sorrow, and commend them to the One who alone can comfort the sorrowing heart of human souls bereft of their beloved ones.

Further, be it ordered that these resolutions be published in the Clearfield Enterprise, a copy be sent to the family of Comrade BEATTY, and that they be entered on the minutes of the Post.
