OBITUARY - MRS. THOS. A. TEALE.

Funeral services for Mrs. Thos. A. TEALE, brief mention of whose death was made in the Record-News last week, were held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Methodist Episcopal church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. E. S. MENOHER, assisted by T. S. RHOADES. The funeral was largely attended, a large delegation being present from Tingley, the girlhood home of the departed. Floral offerings were profuse and beautiful. The body was laid to rest in Rose Hill cemetery [Mount Ayr].

The following obituary was read at the funeral service:

Leota Eleanor HOUSE was born October 28, 1892, at Tingley, Iowa, and departed this life March 22, 1932 [age 39], at her home in Mount Ayr, Iowa.

Her home was in Tingley until her marriage to Thos. A. TEALE, of Mount Ayr, July 5, 1913, since which time her home has been in Mount Ayr. To this union were born three children, Rose Marie, Tommy, Jr., and Clifford Dean.

Besides her husband and children she is survived by her father, O. C. HOUSE of Tingley; one sister, Mrs. Louva GRAY, of Mount Ayr; three brothers, J. Randall of Mount Ayr, Bert and Clifford of Helena, Mont.; two nieces and five nephews. Her mother preceded her in death nine months ago.

On March 3 she took the flu and on March 4 the infant son was born. Pneumonia developed from which she did not recover.

She united with the Methodist church at Tingley in early girlhood, later transferring her membership to the Mount Ayr Methodist church. She loved the church and the Sunday school and was active in their interests.

She was also a faithful member of the Maccabee lodge.
