OBITUARY - BOYD TAGGART

Boyd TAGGART, 77, of Ellston died August 30, 2005, at his home.

Graveside memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 10, at Ellston Cemetery. The Rev. Charles HAWKINS will officiate the service. Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. A memorial has been established in his name.

Mr. TAGGART, son of Myrtle (FUGATE) and Robert TAGGART, was born July 12, 1928, in Ellston. He graduated from Ellston High School. On April 7, 1965, he married Rachel MARTIN in Beatrice, Neb. He operated service stations in Ellston and Des Moines. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1948 to 1952.

Survivors include three sisters, Jean ROMANELLI of Carson City, Nev., Louise STONE and Elaine GRADU, both of Des Moines; three step-children; step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife August 13, 2001.
