OBITUARY - H. F. STUART.

Homer Franklin, son of Alex and Maggie STUART, was born in Ringgold county, Iowa, March 19, 1881, and died near the place of his birth October 2, 1928, aged 47 years, six months and 12 days.

He was the youngest of a family of six children, three brothers and three sisters. One brother, John STUART, and one sister, Mrs. Nellie WEHRLE, preceded him in death.

On April 9, 1912, he was married to Mrs. Nellie BARNETT and to them were born three sons, Avery aged 13, Leo aged 8 and Earl aged 6.

Homer's illness covered a period of almost eleven months and during that time all that medical skill and loving hands could do seemed to no avail. No one ever was braver or fought harder to get well and live for his loved ones than did he, but he assured all that he was ready to go.

His life was spent in Ringgold county and his friends are numbered by his acquaintances. Besides his wife and sons he leaves six step sons, Enas, Harold, Perle, Vincie, Addis and Lyle BARNETT, all of North Dakota. He also leaves two brothers, A. F. STUART of Mount Ayr and Ross E. STUART of Glasnevin, Canada; one sister, Mrs. E. N. WILSON of Mount Ayr; a stepmother, Mrs. Rachel STUART of Mount Ayr; two aunts, Mrs. Vina SMITH and Mrs. Emma SAVILLE, both of Redding; several nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss him and mourn his early departure.

The funeral services were held on Thursday, October 4, at 2:30 p.m. at the Hickory Grove church. Rev. Clifford JACKSON had charge and gave words of comfort to the large audience gathered to pay their last tribute of respect. The pall bearers were his cousins, George, Jake, Elmer, Guy, Bernard and John SAVILLE. He sleeps in the Hickory Grove cemetery.

"Though we sleep, 'tis not forever,
There will be a glorious dawn;
We shall meet to part, no never,
On that resurrection morn."

CARD OF THANKS.

We are profoundly grateful to the neighbors and friends for every kindness shown, for sympathy so generously bestowed, for the nice music, for the beautiful flowers and for the substantial help that was given during the sickness and at the death of our husband, father and brother. Be assured that this kindness will not soon be forgotten.

- Mrs. H. F. STUART and sons
F. A. STUART, R. E. STUART and Mrs. E. N. WILSON.

NOTE: Homer's wife Nellie (BARNETT) STUART was born in 1881, and died in 1961 with interment at Hickory Grove Cemetery, Ringgold County, Iowa.
