OBITUARY - ARZELLE (SPENCER) STONE

Arzelle STONE, 94, of Mount Ayr died November 5, 2004, at Clearview Home in Mount Ayr.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 9, at the First Christian Church in Mount Ayr. The Rev. John BRILLO will officiate the service. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Mount Ayr. Visitation will be 5:30 to 7 p.m. today at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. Memorials may be directed to the First Christian Church in Mount Ayr.

Mrs. STONE, daughter of Esther Jane (LONG) and Ethel Augustus SPENCER, was born February 28, 1910, near Delphos. In 1934, she married Lee Roy STONE. She worked as a telephone operator for Ringgold Mutual Telephone Company and later Continental Telephone Company.

Survivors include two sons, Philip Lee (wife Catherine) STONE of Perry and Milton Ray STONE of Mount Ayr; and two grandsons, David (wife Kari) STONE of State College, Pa., and Joseph STONE of Kelley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1934; four brothers, Clarence, Albert, Ira and Lloyd Whitney SPENCER; and four sisters, Lola STEPHENS, Ilah ELLIOTT, Avis COWAN and Sayde PHILLIPS.
