OBITUARY - BILL STEPHENS

Bill STEPHENS, 75, of Winterset died June 24, 2006, at Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 29 at Collins Oak Park Chapel, 505 E. Court St., Winterset. The Rev. Terry KERR will officiate the service. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery in Madison County. Open visitation will be noon to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Winterset. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Mr. STEPHENS, son of Lola (SPENCER) and Lloyd Earnest STEPHENS, was born March 14, 1931, in Mount Ayr. On April 16, 1951, he married D. Gaylene RINGBERG in Osceola. He was a farmer and school bus driver.

Survivors include his wife, Gaylene STEPHENS of Winterset; two sons, Randy (wife Cindy) STEPHENS and Robert (wife Jeanie) STEPHENS, all of Winterset; three daughters, Nancy (husband Ron) NORRIS of Kent, Diana (husband Jeff) JACKSON of St. Charles and Beverly (husband Doug) KERSHUN of Des Moines; sister Clarice MINNICK of Creston; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Spencer, Sherrill, Joe, Lloyd Jr. and John STEPHENS; and sister Muriel STEPHENS.
