OBITUARY - E. W. STEEL.

Elmer Wilkinson STEEL, son of James and Rachel STEEL, was born near Davistown, Greene county, Pennsylvania, March 6, 1845, at which place he grew to manhood. He came to Iowa in 1876 where on July 4, 1879, he was united in marriage to Annie M. SEATON.

He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, one sister, Margaret L. STEEL of Green county, Pennsylvania, and numerous nephews and nieces.

About thirty years ago he united with the Baptist church at Delphos, to which faith he has continuously adhered.

After two weeks' illness at his home in Delphos, where he recently moved, he pased (sic) peacefully away December 28, 1923. Thus ended the life of a quiet, cheerful, sincere home-loving man whose place in the community will not be easily filled.

Services were held from the Baptist church Sunday morning, December 30, Rev. E. F. THOMPSON, of Lorimer, officiating. Interment was made in the cemetery [Oak Ridge a.k.a. Forrest Home] adjoining his home in the country.

NOTE: Elmer's wife, Annie M. (SEATON) STEEL, was born in 1855, and died in 1934 with interment at Oak Ridge (a.k.a. Forrest Home) Cemetery, Ringgold County, Iowa.
