Beulah M. SNETHEN, 87, of Mount Ayr, formerly of Redding, died January 17, 2005, at the Clearview Home in Mount Ayr. Services are pending at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr.

OBITUARY - BEULAH MAY (HON) SNETHEN

Beulah May (HON) SNETHEN, 87, a native of Harrison County, died January 17, 2005, at the Clearview Home in Mount Ayr, Iowa.

Mrs. SNETHEN was the daughter of Lloyd N. and Rachael (JOHNSON) HON. She attended rural schools in Harrison County and Eagleville [MO].

She was a member of the Redding, Iowa, United Methodist Church, the U.M.W. and the Thimble Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 53 years, Joseph R. SNETHEN; her daughter, Deva Joy McCOLLUM; two sons-in-law and a daughter-in-law.

She leaves a daughter, Nadine CRACRAFT and husband, Leonard, Ridgeway, Mo.; sons, Donald SNETHEN, Eugene, Ore., and Richard SNETHEN and wife Cindy, Redding; a son-in-law, Mike McCOLLUM, Bethany; 15 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren; her brother, Raymond HON, and sister, Mable WOLF, both of Eagleville, Mo.

Funeral services were Jan. 20, 2005, at the Wilson-Watson & Armstrong Funeral Home, Mount Ayr.

OBITUARY - BEULAH MAY (HON) SNETHEN

Beulah M. SNETHEN, 87, of Mount Ayr, formerly of Redding, died January 17, 2005, at Clearview Home in Mount Ayr.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 20, at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. The Rev. Susan THOMAS will officiate the service. Burial will be in Redding Cemetery. Open visitation will be after 2 p.m. Wednesday with the family receiving friends 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in Mount Ayr. A memorial has been established in her name.

Mrs. SNETHEN, daughter of Rachael R. (JOHNSON) and Lloyd N. HON, was born April 2, 1917, near Eagleville, Mo. On April 29, 1934, she married Joseph R. SNETHEN in Eagleville, Mo. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a daughter, Nadine (husband Leonard) CRACRAFT of Ridgeway, Mo.; two sons, Donald SNETHEN of Eugene, Ore., and Dick (wife Cindy) SNETHEN of Redding; a brother, Raymond HON and a sister, Mable WOLF, both of Eagleville, Mo.; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a daughter, Deva Joy McCOLLUM.
