OBITUARY - OPAL I. (VANDERPOOL) ROBINSON SMITH

Opal I. SMITH, 92, of Kellerton died November 21, 2004, at Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, at the Christian Church in Kellerton. The Rev. Edward SHIELDS will officiate the service. Burial will be in Maple Row Cemetery at Kellerton. Open visitation will be 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. Memorials may be directed to the Christian Church in Kellerton.

Mrs. SMITH, daughter of Lucretica (BROWN) and Jud VANDERPOOL, was born May 25, 1912, near Decatur. She married Moore ROBINSON. She later married Keith SMITH. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include three daughters, Loretta REYNOLDS and Rose (husband Charles) FIFER, all of Kellerton, and Ruby NEWTON of Mount Ayr; two brothers, Lowell VANDERPOOL of Dundee, Fla., and Lloyd Kenneth VANDERPOOL of Carlisle; a sister, Ruby GROSE of Wyoming; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and brother Oral VANDERPOOL.
