OBITUARY - JOHN OSBORN

John OSBORN, son of Lawrence & Myra Ada (MEIXNER) OSBORN, was born June 5, 1936 at West Liberty, Iowa. John served his country in the U.S. Air Force. John worked at a number of jobs including truck driver, carpenter, general handyman, and accomplished gardner. John died suddenly at his home in Tingley on January 2, 2008.

He was preceded in death by his parents; children Jimmy Lee & Margaret OSBORN; brother Walter and sisters Mary & Angeline.

John is survived by his loving wife Laura OSBORN of Tingley; children Deb SMITH of Creston, Peggy JUHL & husband Denny of Brayton, IA, Marilyn SPURLING & significant other Charlie WHITE of Clearfield, IA, Marla LACINA & husband Todd of Creston, IA, Marlene OSBORN of Mount Ayr, and Lawrence OSBORN & wife Billie of Leon, IA; 11 grandchildren & 1 great-grandchild; brother Leslie "Lucky" OSBORN & wife Linda of Atlantic, IA; and a sister Florence BISHOP & husband Lawrence of Tingley, IA.

Memorials have been established for Tingley Christian Church and Mt. Ayr Health Care Center.

Services were held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, January 6, 2008, Assembly of God Church, Mount Ayr, Iowa.
