OBITUARY - FLOYD DALE HOLTZMAN

Floyd Dale HOLTZMAN, son of Omer & Jennie (KINDER) HOLTZMAN, was born May 1, 1927 at Mt. Ayr, Iowa. Dale enlisted in the military but was soon honorably discharged due to health reasons. Dale retired as truck driver, most recently driving for Five Star Trucking. Dale lived in Council Bluffs before moving back to Mount Ayr five years ago. Dale passed away on January 14, 2007 at the Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents; 2 brothers: Bobby & Elmer HOLTZMAN; 3 sisters: Donna DRAKE, Irene FEURING, and Bonnie HOLTZMAN; 4 brothers-in-law: Bill JOHNSON, Rolland POWELL, Robert McCOY, and Bob SICKELS.

Survivors include his companion Carrie HOLTZMAN of Mt. Ayr; 5 sisters: Helen (Charles McGAHUEY of Mount Ayr, Bernice McCOY of Des Moines, Nina POWELL of Mount Ayr, Lois JOHNSON of Mount Ayr, and Linda SICKELS of Creston; sister-n-law Helen HOLTZMAN of Pennsylvania; 2 brothers-in-law: Richard DRAKE of Mount Ayr and Elmer FEURING of Winterset; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Services were held on Wednesday, January 17, 2007, at 1:30 p.m., Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr, Iowa.
