OBITUARY - SHEILA DYAN GORDON

Sheila Dyan GORDON, daughter of Ronald E. & Debera D. (WEED) GORDON, was born May 12, 1970 at Lincoln, NE. Sheila graduated from Creston High School in 1988. Sheila joined the U.S. Marine Corp in November 1988 and served her country for four years. She was a veteran of Operation Desert Storm. After her discharge, Sheila graduated from SWCC [Southwestern Community College] in Creston and then received her Bachelor degree from Buena Vista University. Sheila worked in retail sales in Creston and Mount Ayr, living in Mount Ayr the past five years. She was a member of Solid Rock Ministries and V.F.W. Post 1797, both in Creston. Sheila died suddenly on December 26, 2006 at Mount Ayr.

She was preceded in death by her great grandparents including Lonnie & Gertrude WEED; grandfather Ralph GORDON; and a special friend Darrell RUSSELL.

Those left to cherish her memory include her dear friend & companion Ronald MACKEY of Mount Ayr; parents Ron & Deb GORDON of Creston; grandparents Dale & Ruth WEED of Creston, Ray & Golda HASENJAEGER of Edina, MO, and Arieta GORDON of Maryville, MO; brother Shawn GORDON & friend Alicia ABBOTT of Creston; two sisters Autumn MADISON & friend Bob WASKE of Creston and Jennifer WARE & husband Michael of Baxter, IA; nieces & nephew Jaci & Andy GORDON and Heather MADISON; other relatives & friends.

Services were held on Friday, December 29, 2006, at 10:30 a.m., Wilson-Watson & Armstrong Funeral Home, Mount Ayr, Iowa.
