OBITUARY - LOVINA (CLARK) CREVELING

Lovina CREVELING, daughter of Daniel H. & Lilly CLARK, was born June 6, 1920 in Ringgold County, Iowa. She entered into eternal rest on March 9, 2008 at the age of 87 years, 10 months, and 22 days. She spent the majority of her life in Ringgold County.

Lovina was united in marriage to Wayne Lorn CREVELING on December 23, 1937. To this union were born two children; Garey Dwaine CREVELING and Cathy Ann (CREVELING) REED.

She was a housewife, worked at Red Lambs in Mount Ayr and helped build bins with her husband for many years.

Lovina was a very devoted grandmother. She rarely missed an opportunity to be a part of their lives. She enjoyed being outside working in the garden. She loved dogs & cats. She enjoyed playing the guitar & singing. Lovina was always ready for a trip to town with her daughter Cathy. Due to failing health, she entered the nursing home in 2001.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter Cathy & husband Gene REED of Ellston; five grandchildren Garey Wayne & wife Kathy CREVELING of Las Vegas, NV, Troy CREVELING of Clarinda, IA, Gerri (REED) PHELPS & husband Jim of Des Moines, IA, Terri (REED) VanGELDER & husband Brad of Creston, IA, and David REED & special friend Erin of Ellston, IA; seven great-grandchildren, Alec, Taylor, and Bryce PHELPS of Des Moines, Alison & Morgan VanGELDER of Creston, Tyson & Josh CREVELING of Las Vegas, Ashley CREVELING of Clarinda, and Erin CREVELING of Creston; one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne on September 3, 1981; son Garey CREVELING on February 16, 1979; her parents; sister Bernice MOORE; brother Jack CLARK; brother-in-law Reason CREVELING & wife Lois; sister-in-law Lois BROWN & husband Bud.

Services were held on Thursday, March 13, 2008, at 10:00 a.m., Wilson-Watson & Armstrong Funeral Home, Mount Ayr, Iowa.
