OBITUARY - BROOKE DANIELLE BARBER

Brooke Danielle BARBER, daughter of Daniel & Christine (HOFFMAN) BARBER, was born May 12, 1997 at Greater Community Hospital in Creston, Iowa. She was welcomed home by her loving parents, Dan and Christine, sister, Casey, and brother, Brayden.
Brooke loved life and enjoyed a wide range of experiences that life had to offer. Things that ranked high on Brooke's list of favorites were traveling, riding four-wheelers, spending the night at friends' houses, hot tubbing and attending Figure 8 races. But the most important thing to Brooke was not what she was doing, but who she was spending time with. One of Brooke's greatest qualities was that she was ablt to talk to people of all ages. She never met a stranger and was always up for a good conversation. She was kind and loving to everyone she met.

Brooke had begun her 5th grade at Mount Ayr Elementary School. She enjoyed hanging out with her classmates and being involved in activities, including cheerleading for the Pop WARNER football program. Brooke was looking forward to joining 4-H so she could show her calf. She also was active in AWANA at the Regular Baptist Church in Mount Ayr.

Brooke's life centered around her family and friends and she cherished the times spent with them. She especially enjoyed spending time with her nephew and niece, Keye and Kamryn WILLIS, and tagging along with her older brother, Bubba.

Brooke had a special relationship with her parents. She enjoyed doing "girl" things with Mom such as watching movies and shopping and "boy" things with Dad such as riding 4-wheelers and hanging out with him in the shop.

Brooke was taken away suddenly on August 25, 2007.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Wayne & Janice BARBER; Dorathy HOFFMAN; and Robert KEELE.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving parents Dan & Christie; brother Braydon BARBER; sister Casey WILLIS & husband Cole and Brooke’s niece & nephew Keye & Kamryn WILLIS, all of Mount Ayr; step-grandfather John HOFFMAN of Humansville, MO; aunts & uncles Bill BARBER of Osceola, Toni BARBER of Osceola, Shawn SIBLEY & husband Dean of Stockton, MO, Elizabeth MILLER & husband John of Bernard, IA, John HOFFMAN of LaMotte, IA; numerous adopted aunts & uncles; many cousins, and a host of true friends

Services were held Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. at the Mount Ayr Elementary School Gym, Mount Ayr, Iowa, with Pastor Jeff SOUTH officiating. Special musical selections were "When I Get to Where I'm Going" and "In My Daughter's Eyes."

Interment was made at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr.
