OBITUARY - CHARLES O. MORSE.

Charles O. MORSE, son of Merritt and Lydia MORSE, was born in Lee county, Illinois, May 7, 1853, and departed this life in Mount Ayr, Iowa, May 19, 1926.

He was married to Bertha TOMS August 27, 1877. To this union three children were born, one dying in infancy. The two surviving are C. O. MORSE and Mrs. Artie REYNOLDS, both of Topeka, Kansas. The wife and mother died in 1906.

On June 25, 1912, at Ellendale, South Dakota, he was united in marriage to Mrs. Hulda WELCH, who survives him. He is also survived by one brother, W. W. MORSE, of Clearfield, Iowa, and one sister, Mrs. Mattie PRENTIS, of Paw Paw, Illinois, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. MORSE had a wide circle of friends who found him to be of a genial nature.

Funeral services were conducted at the home in northwest Mount Ayr by Rev. T. S. RHOADES and interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery.
