OBITUARY - JAMES B. MORRISON.

James B. MORRISON, second son of James and Amelia MORRISON, was born in Auburn, Indiana, February 7th, 1867, and died at his home in Beaconsfield, Iowa, December 11, 1930, at the age of 63 years, ten months and four days.

He with his parents when about two years of age came to Leon, Iowa. When 14 years of age he again moved with his parents to a farm near Kellerton, Iowa. On November 4, 1896, he was united in marriage to Anna STANLEY. To this union were born three children - John W. and Fredrick MORRISON of Des Moines, Iowa, and Orville, who preceded his father in death at the age of ten years.

He resided on his father's farm until the year of 1919 when they moved to Des Moines, Iowa, where he lived until 1929, after which they moved back to Beaconsfield, where he spent the remainder of his life.

He has been in failing health for a number of years, but yet death came very unexpectedly. He leaves to mourn his going his wife, two sons and three grandchildren, and brother, two sisters, Kate and Alteha MORRISON of Kellerton, Iowa, besides other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 11 o'clock at the Beaconsfield Methodist church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. James WILKINS after which interment was made in the Elk Chapel cemetery [near Lamoni, Decatur County, Iowa].

NOTE: Martha "Ann" (STANELY), wife of James B. MORRISON, was born in 1875, and died in 1960 with interment at Elk Chapel Cemetery. Orville MORRISON, son of James B. and Anna (STANLEY), was born on May 29, 1899, and died on August 20, 1909 with interment at Elk Chapel Cemetery. James' father, James B. MORRISON, was born on January 10, 1830, and died on May 23, 1906. James' mother, Amelia S. (?) MORRISON, was born in July, 1928, and died February 14, 1895. James' parents were interred at Elk Chapel Cemetery.
