OBITUARY - MISS RUTH MORRIS.

Ruth Gertrude, youngest daughter of Carroll and Margaret MORRIS, was born October 8th, 1906, and departed this life January 2nd, 1925, at the age of 18 years, two months and twenty-four days. The first years of her life were passed near Clarinda. She, with her parents, moved to the present home near Diagonal in 1911.

Ruth attended the country school until 1922 when she entered the Diagonal high school, leaving at the beginning of the second year on account of failing health.

Ruth was an industrious girl, both socially and in active life. She was much for home life and always very considerate of others and during her illness was unusually patient and endured much pain uncomplainingly.

She leaves to mourn her loss her mother, three sisters, Ida, Myrtle and Edith; two brothers, Fred and Edgar, besides three nieces and two nephews and other relatives and friends.

Her brother, Victor, preceded her in death February 16, 1918, and her father, June 9th, 1923.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church in Diagonal and burial was in Diagonal cemetery.
