OBITUARY - DOROTHY DRIFTMIER

Dorothy DRIFTMIER was born January 27, 1924 in Page County, Iowa. After the death of her mother, Dorothy was raised by her grandmother. Dorothy graduated from Clarinda High School. On July 17, 1944, she was united in marriage to Kenneth DRIFTMIER in Shenandoah, Iowa. They moved to an I.S.U. Experimental farm near Beaconsfield, Iowa where Kenneth was the manager. Dorothy was a homemaker and farm wife. Over the years, the visitors to the farm enjoyed her home cooking. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the U.M.W. Kenneth & Dorothy moved into Mount Ayr in 1991.

Dorothy passed away at the Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr on September 29, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Survivors include her husband Kenneth of Mount Ayr; two daughters Kim DRIFTMIER of Nevada, IA and Joyce COLAJEZZI of Anchorage, Alaska.

Dorothy was cremated and services will be held at a later date. Cards of condolence maybe sent to Kenneth DRIFTMIER, 1002 E. Monroe St. Mount Ayr, IA 50854.
