OBITUARY - J. F. McGEHEE.

John Franklin McGEHEE, son of Walter W. McGEHEE [and Nancy Jane (CONNELLY)], was born in Washington, Ind., June 25, 1879, and departed this life at the home of his son, Kenneth, January 22, 1944, at the age of 74 years, six months and 22 days.

He was united in marriage to Myrtle E. WHEELER on February 22, 1894. She preceded him in death March 1, 1923.

He leaves to mourn his passing two sons, Ward O. of Marshalltown, and Kenneth of Mount Ayr; one daughter, Mayme DUGAN, of Maloy; a sister, Mrs. Sadie BAY of Long Beach, Calif.; a half-brother, Robert McGEHEE, of Illinois, 12 grandchildren and thre great-grandchildren, together with relatives and many friends.

He was known as a friend, faithful and helpful. He will be greatly missed by the family and circle of friends.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, January 24, from the Rhoades Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Frank MOORE, pastor of the Methodist church. Intrment was in Rose Hill cemetery [Mount Ayr].
