OBITUARY - JAMES THOMAS COLLIER

James Thomas COLLIER, 66, retired farmer, resident of Creston since 1930, died today at 7 a.m. at 410 1/2 S. Vine Street following a 10 month illness. He lived in Virginia until 1907 when he came to Iowa and resided in Union County since 1923.

Mr. COLLIER was born in Monroe County, Virginia, the son of George Edward and Josephine COLLIER. He was married January 8, 1891 to Matilda MORRIS at Standardville, Virginia who survives.

Also surviving are 4 daughters, Mrs. Walter KNOPP of Atlantic, Mrs. A. M. RASMUSSEN of Creston and Evelyn MUSSELMAN of Des Moines; sons, Luther M. of Springfield, MO., Floyd of Ellston, A. J. of Creston and Tommie of Corning; 2 brothers, G. N. of Atlantic and W. J. of Waldorf, Maryland; 3 sisters, Mrs. William MAPES of Cheyenne, Wyo., Mrs. Leah MORRIS of Dyke, Va., and Mrs. Silas HENRY of Middleton, Va. 1 daughter, Josephine is deceased.

Funeral services will be held at the Christian Church Wednesday, at 2 p.m. in charge of the service is Rev. E. E. LISTER. The body will be taken to the home on Thursday morning. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery [Creston, Union County, Iowa.]
