OBITUARY - MRS. ELIZABETH JANE MILLER.

Elizabeth Jane ZOLLMAN, daughter of Henry and Elvira ZOLLMAN, was born September 19, 1838, at Lexington, Virginia, and departed this life January 23, 1926, age 87 years, four months and four days.

She was married March 24, 1859, to H. T. MILLER at Lexington, Va., who passed away February 19, 1914. The same year they came to Ringgold county, Iowa, coming all the way by wagon and were among the earliest settlers of the county.

To this union were born eleven children, one of whom died in infancy. Three others have preceded her, Martha Agnes, who died at the age of six months; Mrs. Elvira Catherine HOOVER, who died August 29, 1897, and Doctor Charles Z. MILLER who died October 10, 1901. The other seven children survive her, all of whom are present today. They are Mrs. Carrie B. LOUTZENHISER, Blockton, Iowa; Mrs. Virginia E. WARDEN, of Grant City, Mo.; Mrs. Margaret J. ADAIR, of Indianola, Iowa; Henry H. MILLER, of Sturgeon Valley, Candada; John T. MILLER, of San Francisco, Calif.; Doctor W. B. MILLER, of Centerville, Iowa; and Mrs. Bessie D. DRAKE, of Friona, Texas.

There are twenty-six children (sic) and thirty-four granchildren (sic) living.

In her early life she united with the United Presbyterian church and has led a consistant christian life ever since. She was a loving mother and a kind neighbor and will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Grandmother MILLER, as everyone knew her, has had good health until the last two years, when she developed heart trouble. She gradually grew weaker until at last she hell asleep to awake no more. her last testimony was that the Lord had been good to her and that He was constantly by her side and that she was content.

Six of her grandson acted as pall bearers.

Funeral services were held at the Blockton Methodist church, conducted by Rev. J. V. GRAY, assisted by Rev. H. V. REEVES, and interment was made in the Middle Fork Cemetery.

NOTE: Of Elizabeth Jane (ZOLLMAN) and H. T. MILLER's children: Martha Agnes died at the age of five months and 5 days on March 19, 1874 with interment at Middle Fork Cemetery, Ringgold County, Iowa; Doctor Charles Zollman MILLER died at the age of 25 years, 3 months and 26 days on October 10, 1901 with interment at Middle Fork Cemetery.
