The Mount Ayr Record-News, 1925

OBITUARY.

William Albert MIDDLETON, son of Mary Ann PARISH and Josiah MIDDLETON, was born in Fairfield county, Ohio, November 1st, 1855, and entered into his rest at his home near Mount Ayr, Iowa, July 31, 1925.

In the spring of 1881 he came to Ringgold county, Iowa, where he has since resided.

On April 15, 1891, he was united in marriage to Cora E. CLARK. Five children were born to this union, the eldest dying in infancy. The wife and others, namely: Herbert Ray, Mary Ethel MERRIT, Charles Lee and Josiah William, remain to mourn their loss beside a host of sorrowing friends and neighbors.

In early life he accepted Christ as his Saviour and has lived a consistent christian life ever since.

Mr. MIDDLETON has always lived on the farm.

He was a man among men. One who never shirked a task that was his and was never too busy to lend a helping hand.

While his departure was almost without warning we know that all is well and He who rules the universe, knew that Mr. MIDDLETON's work was finished.

Funeral services were held from the Lesanville church Sabbath, August 2nd, at 2:30 p.m. The services were conducted by Rev. W. L. THORNBURG of the U.P. church of Mount Ayr. Interment was made in the "Sweet Home" cemetery at Lesanville.

CARD OF THANKS.

We take this means of expressing to the neighbors and friends our sincere thanks for the many acts of kindness and words of sympathy, and for the beautiful floral tributes, on the occasion of the death and funeral of our husband and father.
