OBITUARY

Mrs. D. MICHAEL and son, died at their home in Middle Fork township, southeast of Delphos, Ringgold county, Iowa. Mrs. MICHAEL closed her eyes in death at 11 o'clock p. m., Jan., 5th, 1890, Sunday evening and in six hours before her son William breathed his last. He was 24 years old and the mother 43. Less than a year a go they were converted by hearing the truths of the gospel of the Son of God as presented by Bro. J. P. MARTINDALE and confessed their faith in Christ as divine and Redeemer of the world and were both by him baptized. They have since lived christian lives, walking worthy of their chirtian (sic) profession. Funeral services were held at Rose Hill, M. E. Chapel, January 7th, at 11 a. m. The writed of this notice preaching a discourse, taking for a text, Rev. 14 and last part of 13th verse and 1st Thess. 4:14. After which they were laid to rest in the same grave side by side to await the resurection day. --J. L. ROWE.
